The more the merrier at the Black River. Come join a large group of paddlers on a trip down the Black River. This is a great opportunity to learn the lines from experienced locals. The Hudson River Rafting Company will help with shuttle and there will be plenty of time to get back to the put-in for the King of New York race later in the afternoon. Open to all paddlers with the requisite skills to paddle class IV whitewater.

4:30pm - Hudson River Rafting Company
The King of New York downriver racing point series begins with the Black River Race on Saturday afternoon. Racers will have all day to learn the lines before the 4:30 start. This is the endurance event of the series so come out and tally points towards the grand prize Dagger Green Boat being awarded at the end of the 2012 racing season.

This year we continue the infamous freestyle event where athletes trade their kayaks for pool toys and perform stunts for the judges. Creativity counts but surfing is the name of the game. Open to everyone, the floateeo features some of impressive feats of inflatable prowess. A favorite of participants and spectators alike, come witness this unique Black River Festival tradition.
 Superheros & Villains Party
9:00pm - Hudson River Rafting Company
The Black River Festival party is the most infamous rager in whitewater paddling...and that's saying something. Leave the kids at home and come dressed as a superhero or villain. There will be live music, beer, and debauchery.
 Free Camping
Fri-Sun - Hudson River Rafting Company
We want you to rage at the Black River Festival. We don't want you to drive away after raging. Free primitive camping right at the party provided by the Hudson River Rafting Company. If you come to party, please plan on staying.
